Exclusive Salon Products announces the first ever I.C,O.N. Expo, November 7 and 8, 2010. I.C.O.N. Expo is a first-of-its-kind, two-day event for salon owners, managers and stylists featuring seminars, demonstrations and instruction by industry experts. Held at prestigious Bellevue Club, I.C.O.N. Expo will be an amazing event full of business opportunities, styling creativity, practical, hands-on instruction. To top it all off, attendees will be pampered with exceptional food, gifts and prizes.

Salon Owners and managers attending I.C.O.N. Expo will learn business strategies that will build customer loyalty, reveal new billable services and treatments and increase retail sales. Stylists will learn how to expand their artistry, inspire their creativity and spark their enthusiasm with hands-on demonstrations and workshops.

I.C.O.N. began as a vision: Two industry experts, from different cultures and continents, joining together to form one forward-thinking company. It continues as a multi-dimensional commitment to green technology, liquid fashion and determined energy for all things beauty.

"The more we learn about ICON and see the passion for ecologically conscious hair care product formulas and the concierge mentality for salon services, the more excited we become,” Diann explains. “ICON is a unique company with amazing products and business philosophy. To have the genius and passion that started it all, here in the Northwest is truly incredible.” The genius and passion that Diann is referring to are I.C.O.N. cofounders, Jorge Rubin and Chiara, who will be leading the events at I.C.O.N. Expo.

A successful salon owner and businessman, Jorge Rubin has an inside view into the workings of the professional salon industry. He has pioneered philosophies such as masstige and new-nique, always fusing creative and business in order to elevate the success of each salon. His personal motto has always been to start doing today what will matter most tomorrow. In doing so, Jorge consistently captures the attention of new consumers and creates a truly memorable experience, inside and outside the salon. 

Jorgen owns and operates the successful Jorge Rubin Salon. He spends equal time in his native Spain, where he continues the successful development of ICON Europe, and in Los Angeles, California where I.C.O.N.’s US offices are based.

Chiara began her career as a hairdresser and quickly developed a fascination with both the industry and the possibilities it presented. She channeled that fascination into research and development, working to create innovative products, always with a flair for influential style. In 2002, she joined with Jorge Rubin, bringing along her ability to translate trends into exciting products. The result was I.C.O.N.

An artist when it comes to hair, she hand-tests each formula until it exceeds expectations, both hers and the industry’s. Her forward-looking educational programs are designed to deliver information to salons and stylists worldwide. And her creative vision can be seen in every aspect of I.C.O.N. She is based in Los Angeles, California.

I.C.O.N. Expo will offer two full days of training. Day 1, Beyond Retail, November 7, is designed for salon owners and managers and will be lead by Jorge Rubin. Beyond Retail is a business awakening that takes you to amazing places offering nearly limitless opportunities for success. Jorge’s passion is evident. His knowledge, amazing. His creativity, brilliant.

Designed for salon owners and managers, Beyond Retail is dedicated to making your good business, a great business. Chiara will demonstrate how to take style from day to evening to a nighttime of hot with fluid styling that sets trends and creates what’s next. Liquid Fashion is hands-on styling and education that will expand your artistry, inspire your creativity and spark your enthusiasm. If you are a stylist, salon owner or manager, Liquid Fashion will re-invigorate you and open creative doors that you didn’t know existed.

I.C.O.N. Expo begins each day at 9:30 am with a Coffee & Pastry Jump-Start. Events begin at 10 am with a break for a gourmet lunch at 12:30 pm. The day ends at 4 pm with a wine and cheese hour. Cost for each day is $125 and includes Jump-Start breakfast, gourmet lunch and wine and cheese hour. In addition, each attendee will receive an I.C.O.N. gift set and there will be prize drawings daily.
